iran food + hospitality 2019 proved an excellent show once again
Extremely high satisfaction ratings
Despite difficult business environment in Iran: 888 exhibitors from 21 countries discussed business with far more than 40,000 trade visitors at iran agrofood 2019
The 26th edition of iran agrofood kicked-off on 18 June in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture-Jahad, the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine & Trade, the Ambassadors of Brazil, India and the Netherlands and many other dignitaries.
This year the exhibitors came to Tehran with rather low expectations for iran food + hospitality as part of iran agrofood. All the more pleasing was the enormous influx of well over 40,000 visitors from all over Iran and neighbouring countries and their great business interest.
The exhibitor survey carried out on the last day confirmed the extremely high level of satisfaction:
- 91% of the exhibitors were satisfied or even very satisfied with iran food + hospitality 2019 as a whole
- 94% with the number of visitors
- 82% with the visitors’ quality
- 82% with the chances of doing business after the fair
- 68% found the industry portal helpful to promote their business and products and 63% were contacted by interested prospects via the industry portal
97% (!) intend to participate again next year and 91% would recommend the event.
The 888 exhibitors from 21 countries who took part from 18 to 21 June can congratulate themselves on their decision. Because it is always important to keep in touch, especially in difficult times. And iran agrofood made this decision especially easy, because: Exhibitors, visitors and organizers agree in their assessment: iran food + hospitality in particular and iran agrofood 2019 as a whole proved an excellent show once again!
Ever since 1994, the show has been organized by the German trade show specialists fairtrade in cooperation with their Iranian partners Palar Samaneh. This year from 18 to 21 June 2019 at the Tehran International Fairgrounds.
The exhibitors came from Austria, Brazil, China, Denmark, Georgia, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Mongolia, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
Of these 865 exhibitors, 431 exhibitors attended iran food + hospitality 2019.

Pasiani, Second Secretary, Head of Trade Promotion Section and Filipe Abbott Galvão Sobreira Lopes, First Secretary – Embassy of Brazil: “Despite the sanctions, Iran is a really big market with more than 80 million people. The customers are interested in new products and receptive about Brazilian companies. We have also met many Iranians who are interested in representing Brazilian companies in Iran. The number of exhibitors and visitors is very good and the visitors do not only come from Iran, but from the entire region.”
NEW: Start-up pavilion at iran agrofood 2019
For the first time this year some twenty Iranian start-up companies presented their innovations at the iran agrofood Start-up Pavilion in hall 31a. STARS at iran agrofood 2019!
Brazil, China and India joined with National Pavilions
Following the successful participations in 2017 and 2018, Brazil was again present this year with an official pavilion at iran food + hospitality, organized by the Brazilian Embassy in Tehran. 12 Brazilian companies displayed the finest meat, coffee and food from Brazil.
Not less than 11 Indian exhibitors displayed their products at iran food + hospitality, supported by the India Trade Promotion Organisation ITPO, the Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India ASSOCHAM, and the Cashew Export Promotion Council of India CEPCI.
As in previous years, Turkey will again be officially represented this year at iran food + hospitality. The Turkish pavilion with 3 exhibitors is supported by the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
